In this day and age of texting and email trying to get an answer can seem to be time saving endeavor.
Sometimes this is true.
Other times it ends up wasting everyone’s time.
If it is leather it can be fixed.

It’s simply a matter of how much time it will take and how much leather it will take.
That means how much money it will cost.
Bringing us to the question of “is it worth it.” Which can only be answered by the customer.
Many times the damage you see is the result of a larger problem.
Not just someone trying to up sale you.
And simply fixing the broken part doesn’t fix the problem.
Repairs are generally expensive.
That is because of the time it takes to do the repair.
We have to take it apart, fix it, and put it back together.
Building something is easier than fixing something.
And no we can’t always match the color. Time, sunlight, oils and dirt color leather.
When you text or email pictures of your repairs take pictures that show what is broken. Don’t take a so close up that doesn’t show where and what the thing is to be repaired. You know what it is and where it is. Nobody else does by showing a simple tear in the leather. And don’t send a picture of the bridle you want repaired from the website where you bought it.
That one is not broken and it tells me nothing of the problem.
Please learn the names of parts of the saddles and bridles and halters.
Telling me the seat thingy, or nose thingy is broken tells me it’s broken. Not what part is actually broken.
We can save a lot of time using technology. But we can waste a lot time with bad pictures, bad descriptions, and nomenclature that only you use. Saddle makers and leather repair shops hate to turn away work. We only stay open because of the money that comes in from orders and repairs.
But if we don’t know what you are referring to or send pictures we can’t decipher. No becomes the easy answer if there is work on the bench and taking the time to understand what you are after doesn’t equal the amount of what the cost of the repair will be.
Sometimes it’s better to bring the thing to fixed to us. That way we know what is broken, what it will take to fix it, and what it will cost.
If it is an easy fix it can be done right then. Saving everyone time.
